Former Kennesaw Cop, City Council Candidate Passes Away

George L. "Junior" Grumbein passed away on Monday at the age of 51; services will be held at 11 a.m. on Sept. 25 in Kennesaw.

Mr. George L. Grumbein, “Junior” age 51, of Kennesaw passed away, Monday, September 21, 2015.

Mr. Grumbein was born in Durant, OK. He retired from Kennesaw Police Department and served as KPD”s Chaplain. He was active member at New Beginning’s United Methodist Church where he was a Lay Leader, Sunday School Teacher, Leader of men’s ministry and softball coach. He was a past President and member of the North Cobb Lions Club. Mr. Grumbein was an apprentice Funeral Director at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. He was candidate running for City of Kennesaw Council seat. He was Pastor at Faith Spirit Church in Kennesaw & Associate Pastor at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Marietta. He loved his family and friends.

2 sons – Adam & Angel Grumbein of Marietta; Kevin & Keleigh of Acworth
Parents – George L. Grumbein Sr. &Glenda Ann Grumbein of Marietta.
Granddaughter - Adelaide

Funeral services will be held 11 am Friday, September 25, 2015 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. Rev. Scott Brown officiating. Interment at Pine Ridge Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 4 till 6 pm Wednesday and 5 till 8 pm Thursday.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to North Cobb Lions Club or New Beginning’s UMC Mens Ministry.
