Kennesaw July 4th Fireworks: Times, Locations, Activities

Kennesaw has plenty going on for the Fourth of July, with two major events featuring fireworks, entertainment and other activities.

KENNESAW, GA — Kennesaw will be a hot spot for patriotic celebrations this Fourth of July, with two major events scheduled starting the weekend before the holiday.

Observances kick off with the 2018 Star-Spangled Extravaganza at Kennesaw State University on Saturday, June 30. A family-friendly festival kicks off the 11th-annual event, held at KSU's Fifth Third Bank Stadium, at 5 p.m.

The stadium is located at at 3200 George Busbee Pkwy. in Kennesaw.

At 8 p.m., there will be a patriotic concert featuring the KSU Big Band and the KSU Summer Orchestra, followed by fireworks.

Admission to the extravaganza is free.

The celebration in Kennesaw kicks up again on Tuesday, July 3, with the City of Kennesaw's Salute to America. The free event runs from 6-10 p.m. and will feature two stages of live music, street entertainment, food vendors kids activities.

Musical performances will include School of Rock-East Cobb, The American Flyers, Fantabulous and Head Games, a Foreigner tribute band. Fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m.

The Salute to America will be held along Main Street in downtown Kennesaw.
