Kennesaw Is Nation's 19th Best Neighborhood For Small Business

A local advertising company has ranked the nation's best neighborhoods for small business.

ATLANTA, GA -- One month ahead of Small Business Saturday, Kennesaw has been ranked the nation's 19th-best neighborhood for small business. Atlanta-based Welcomemat Services released its third annual ranking of America’s Top 25 Best Neighborhoods for Small Businesses for 2018, with Smyrna at No. 5, Kennesaw at No. 19 and Roswell at No. 24 on the list. The company ranked the 25 markets based on a combination of data and surveys. Data included info tied to increase in movement throughout the year, redemption levels, income levels of redeemers and age. Surveys were focused on local vibe, family friendliness, walkability, sense of community, schools and more.

November 24, 2018 marks Small Business Saturday, a day dedicated to supporting and honoring the local business owners that shape local communities. For the third year in a row, the local advertising company evaluated over 450 neighborhoods across the country on factors such as business density, influx of new movers, local input, and walkability and transportation.

  5. Smyrna, GA
  6. Short North, OH
  7. Plymouth, MN

  10. Southwest Austin, TX

Welcomemat also is highlighting small business owners who have seen success in each top neighborhood, and Matt Varno of Smyrna’s Hook Line & Schooner, Morgan Moreau of Kennesaw’s American Haircuts and Tod Baker of Roswell’s Carl Black Buick will be spotlighted as an example of what small business success looks like.
