Kennesaw Woman Is 1 Of 4 Dead In Capitol Siege

D.C. Metropolitan Police announced the names of four people who died in the U.S. Capitol riots, which included Rosanne Boyland of Kennesaw.

COBB COUNTY, GA — A Georgia woman was one of four people who died during the U.S. Capitol riots on Jan. 6, D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Robert Contee announced Jan. 7.

Rosanne Boyland, a 34-year-old woman from Kennesaw, died of a medical emergency, Contee said in a news conference.

Three other people died during the mayhem at the Capitol, Contee said, two of which were also from medical emergencies: 55-year-old Kevin Greeson of Athens, Alabama, and 50-year-old Benjamin Phillips of Ringtown, Pennsylvania. It was not made immediately clear what medical emergencies caused the deaths.

"They were on the grounds of the Capitol when they experienced the medical emergency," Contee said.

Ashli Babbitt, a 35-year-old military veteran of San Diego, was shot by a U.S. Capitol police officer and later died.

The FBI and D.C. police are asking for the public's help in identifying those who were involved in the violence at the Capitol. Images from Wednesday are posted on the the FBI and police department's websites, and tips can be submitted by calling 202-727-9099 or texting 50411.
