KSU to Partner with Entertainment Industry

Senoia Enterprises Inc. is credited with the redevelopment of the town of Senoia, which is the backdrop for "The Walking Dead," "Driving Miss Daisy" and other productions.

Senoia Enterprises Inc., the company responsible for redeveloping the town where AMC’s top-rated television series, “The Walking Dead,” is filmed, is partnering with Kennesaw State University’s Joel A. Katz Music and Entertainment Business (MEBUS) program, the university announced Thursday.

The partnership, according to a statement, will provide a home base for executive education courses in the entertainment business and pair Kennesaw State students with production companies, artists and more.

“This unique partnership taps into our strength in educating students with relevant business skills so that they can succeed in the film and television industry,” Keith Perissi, director of the MEBUS program, said in the statement. “It extends beyond preparing actors and actresses, but encompasses individuals involved in the marketing, management, production and other aspects of entertainment that occur behind the scenes.”
