In Loving Memory of Helen Garrett Odom, 94

Helen Garrett Odom, age 94, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 28, 2015.

She was a life long resident of Kennesaw, Georgia. She was very involved in the community - she was a member of First Baptist Church of Kennesaw for 85 years and knew the people, businesses, and heartbeat of Kennesaw.

In her younger years, she had worked as an electrician for Bell Aircraft. Most people knew her either from church or from her position as a former post master for the city of Kennesaw.

Mrs. Odom is preceded in death by her husband, David Odom Jr.; parents, Henry and Alice Garrett; brother; and three sisters. She is survived by her sons, Ronald Casey and his wife, Betty, of Cartersville and David Odom III and his wife, Jan, of Marietta; daughter, Gail Bland and her husband, Jimmy, of Kennesaw; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

The family of Mrs. Odom will receive friends Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2014 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Kennesaw with Dr. Perry Fowler officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw City Cemetery.
