In Loving Memory of John 'Jared' Storey, 23

Mr. John Jared Storey age 23 of Acworth passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2015 at County Line United Methodist Church in Acworth. Rev. Scott Pickering is officiating.
John Jared Storey, known as Jared, to family and friends was born in Marietta, Georgia to John W. and Suzanne (Sue) L. Storey (Dorsey) on Jan 6, 1992. He was a senior at The Georgia Institute of Technology majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science, making the Dean’s List and Presidents List. He loved riding motocross, boating, snowboarding, camping, and playing drums. He enjoyed target shooting and collecting firearms and was a skilled marksman with both handguns and long guns. Jared always thought of others before himself as was demonstrated in his dedication to helping the less fortunate. He enjoyed being outdoors and taking walks with his beloved German Shepherd dog, Atlas. His grandfather’s Harold “Clinton” Storey, Jr. of Clarkston, GA and Lawrence Anthony (Larry) Dorsey of Wallingford, CT. preceded him in death.
