Stanley Jan Gajdik, III, died July 31, 2015 in Kennesaw, GA. He was born March 30, 1945 in Versailles, KY to Ann and Stan Gajdik.
Stan graduated in 1969 from Mercer University School of Pharmacy and worked as a pharmacist until his retirement in 2007. As typical of people born in Kentucky, Stan was a life-long die-hard fan of the KY Wildcats. In his earlier years he enjoyed snow skiing, racquetball, and bowling. Since his retirement he has spent most of his time traveling with his wife, spending time with grandchildren, woodworking, and lately volunteering as a bailiff at Acworth Municipal Court.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ann and Stan Gajdik of Lexington, KY.
Stan is survived by his wife, Linda Gajdik of Acworth, GA, daughter LeAnne Cobb of Marietta, GA, son, Jonathan (Deanna) Gajdik of Cumming, GA, brother, Charles Gajdik of Lexington, KY, four granddaughters: Anna Gajdik, Samantha Gajdik, Emily Cobb, and Taylor Gajdik, one great-granddaughter, Everlee Grace Dyer, sister-in-law Jean (Lamarr) Phillips of Waleska, GA, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 4, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. A memorial service will begin at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital, c/o Yaarab Shrine, 400 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30308, in Stan’s memory.
