In Loving Memory of Steven Frank "Steve" Lekan, 65

Mr. Steven Frank “Steve” Lekan age 65 of Kennesaw passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio to Frank John and Luella Lekan. Mr. Lekan was in Printing Equipment Sales most of his life. Since 2007 he worked for Nordmeccanica. He was a loving husband, great dad and a friend to everyone. He was an active member and held several positions at American Legion Post 304 in Acworth. He had held several positions at the American Legion Post 304 in Acworth, where he was a very social member.Some of his favorite hobbies were riding his 1965 Harley Davidson Panhead, going to the NHRA sponsored drag races with his son, partying/socializing with friends, reading Dean Koontz, tinkering in his garage and going to Dixie Speedway with his family. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church.

Wife – Karen Lekan of Acworth, GA

Son – Ryan Steven LeKan of Acworth, GA

Daughter – Tera & Erik Lekan Emer of Naples, FL

Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 Thursday at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church in Kennesaw, GA. Fr. John Matejek officiating.

Family will receive friends from 5 till 8 pm Wednesday, with a prayer service at 6 pm Deacon Bruce Reed officiating at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw, Ga.

There will be a procession at 10:00 am Thursday from the funeral home to Saint Catherine’s Catholic Church (1618 Ben King Rd, Kennesaw, GA 30144).

After the church service there will be a luncheon at the American Legion Post (4220 Main Street, Acworth, Georgia 30101). You’ll see the big American Flag out front. There is parking in the front and rear, but please carpool if possible.

Burial in Independence, Ohio. The date is to be determined. We will keep this group updated as that information becomes available.
