Here are some events happening in Kennesaw for the Memorial Day weekend.

KENNESAW, GA -- Memorial Day has always been a special time in the country, offering a respite from the hustle and bustle to remember those who have served the United States as a member of the military.
Families have frequently used the day to visit the historic sites and landmarks from wars past in the area and commemorate told lost in battle, there are many ways to spend Memorial Day weekend.
Several events abound in Cobb County for the holiday weekend. Big crowds are expected at the Memorial Day Ceremony at the Marietta National Cemetery. But there will be smaller events and activities as well around the county.
Here are some events that will draw large crowds to Kennesaw for Memorial Day Weekend.
KENNESAW MOUNTAIN NATIONAL BATTLEFIELD PARK: On Saturday, May 27, the park will feature a Ranger presentation at 11 a.m. titled "Life Of the Common Soldier," followed by a lecture series titled "Georgia's Historic Women" at 2 p.m. On Sunday, May 28, the public is invited to see artillery demonstrations at staged periods throughout the day beginning at 11 a.m.

KENNESAW MEMORIAL DAY 5K DASH: The Kennesaw Memorial Day 5K Dash and Virtual Road Race, which is held in honor of the men and women who died in the U.S. armed forces, is scheduled for 8 a.m. Saturday, May 27. It will be held on the Noon Day Creek Trail in Kennesaw. Organizers ask that participants park atTown Center Mall.
