Motorcyclist, Slow-Driving Motorist Killed in Two Separate Crashes in Cobb County
Police say a motorcyclist and a motorist were pronounced dead at WellStar Kennestone Hospital after crashing within hours of one another.

Police are investigating two fatal crashes that occurred within hours of one another Saturday night and Sunday morning in Cobb County.
According to Cobb County police, the first crash happened around 7:40 p.m. Saturday on Robinson Road near Roswell Road in Marietta.
William G. Howe, 25, was riding a silver 2003 Suzuki motorcycle eastbound on Robinson Road toward Lecroy Drive when 27-year-old Jesus R. Lomelia, who was driving a silver 2002 Infiniti, turned left onto Robinson Road from a Kroger parking lot.

Howe’s motorcycle struck the left side of the Infiniti, according to police. Howe was transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police said Lomiela declined medical treatment at the scene.
Charges are expected to be filed in the crash, according to police, who ask anyone with information about the incident to call 770-499-3987.

In a second incident just hours later, a man died after reportedly losing control of his vehicle on Barrett Lakes Boulevard near Chastain Road in Kennesaw.
The unidentified man was slowly driving a white 2007 Ford F-150 southbound on Barrett Lakes Boulevard around 12:20 a.m. Sunday when the vehicle left the road for unknown reasons and entered a wood line. Witnesses reportedly attempted to make contact with the driver, who remained unconscious inside the truck. The driver was transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police are withholding the victim’s name until his next of kin are notified.
