Road Work to Cause Delays on Big Shanty Through Thursday
Work will run from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. starting tonight, GDOT says.

Weather permitting, the setting of beams at Big Shanty will necessitate the detouring of east and westbound traffic on Big Shanty between the Barrett Lakes Boulevard and George Busbee Parkway, the Georgia Department of Transportation says.
Work will begin tonight, Tuesday, November 10th and will last through Thursday, November 12th, from 9:00PM to 5:00AM.
The Big Shanty Westbound detour begins at the Big Shanty Road/George Busbee Parkway intersection. Traffic will be directed north on George Busbee, then west on Chastain Road, then south on Barrett Lakes Boulevard to Big Shanty Road.
