Santa is Coming to Kennesaw

St. Nick plans to spend Saturday afternoon downtown and will be bringing a whole lot of fun with him.

Santa Claus is taking time out of his busy pre-Christmas work schedule to visit the good boys and girls of Kennesaw this weekend.

Yet the big man’s appearance is just one of several big events planned for Saturday afternoon’s “A Day With Santa” in the heart of downtown Kennesaw, the city’s website reports.

The fun begins at noon with Santa leading a parade of classic cars, marching bands, costumed characters, and more. The parade will begin near the intersection of Park Dr. and Main St., proceed south and east down Main St., march past Cherokee St., and end at Cemetery St.

Following the parade, there will be holiday activities such as snow tubing, stage entertainment, inflatable play areas for the kids, and a holiday gift market at Depot Park.

At 5:30 p.m., a laser light show produced by Atlanta Laser & Light will showcase dazzling displays of animation and special effects to the tune of holiday classics like “Let it Snow” and “12 Days of Christmas”
