WellStar Medical Group Integrative Health Holds Ribbon Cutting

To better serve patients on their journey to wellness, WellStar Medical Group recently announced a new Integrative Health program which combines alternative therapies and full internal medicine services. A ribbon cutting ceremony took place at the WMG Kennesaw Medical Center: 3805 Cherokee Street, NW, Kennesaw GA, 30144 on March 7.

The program includes a multi-disciplinary team who understand a patient’s mind, body and spirt is essential to healing and maintaining health and wellness. The team uses evidence-based conventional care with complementary modalities to help patients achieve stress reduction, increased energy, improved nutrition, body alignment and a natural approach to treating chronic conditions.

In addition to treating diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disease and cholesterol issues, they also offer advanced cardiovascular lab assessments, screening for inflammation, nutrition evaluations, food allergy testing, microbiome evaluations and pharmaceutical genetic testing. The innovative care delivery model consists of a team from several disciplines. Services include acupuncture, chiropractic care, behavioral health, nutrition services, traditional Chinese medicine, yoga and Tai Chi.
