What's Open and Closed in Kennesaw, Cobb on Thanksgiving

Here's what you need to know for Thursday and Friday.

Today is the last day this week you can handle any affairs with city and county government entities due to the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.

Both City of Kennesaw and Cobb County offices will close on Thursday, Nov. 26 and Friday, Nov. 27 to observe the holiday, though public safety personnel will still be on the job. Kennesaw City Hall closes 5 p.m. Wednesday.

In addition, residents who take out the trash Thursday will need to have their garbage cans on the curb on Friday, while residents who are used to a Friday delivery will need to wait until Saturday to get their garbage collected, the city’s website says.

If you live outside city limits, you will have to contact your sanitation provider for information on this week’s sanitation schedule.
