What's Open, Closed On Thanksgiving In Kennesaw

What Kennesaw services and offices are closed on Thanksgiving, Nov. 28? And what are mall hours for the holiday?

KENNESAW, GA — Most services will be closed on Thanksgiving, but Kennesaw residents should also be aware of closures on surrounding days like Black Friday.

Here's a look at some of what will be open and what will be closed in Kennesaw on and around Thursday, Nov. 28 (Thanksgiving) and Friday, Nov. 29 (Black Friday):

  • Cobb County offices and courts will be closed Thursday and Friday.
  • Kennesaw City Hall will be closed Thursday and Friday.
  • There will be no trash/recycle pickup on Thursday in Kennesaw. Thursday and Friday collection routes will be picked up one day later (Thursday routes on Friday, Friday routes on Saturday).
  • Emergency services remain available in Kennesaw.
  • For specific holiday hours at the Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History or Smith-Gilbert Gardens, contact the Museum or Gardens directly.
  • Cobb County Schools are off this week from Nov. 25-29, all offices are closed.
  • All Cobb County libraries will be close Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 5 p.m., and will remain closed Thursday and Friday.
  • This is a federal holiday and all U.S. Postal Service post offices will be closed. No mail will be delivered or sent. Regular business hours will resume Friday, Nov. 29.
  • All banks are closed on Thanksgiving and will resume normal business hours Friday, Nov. 29.
  • Publix: All stores and pharmacies will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, and will resume regular hours on Black Friday.
  • Kroger: All stores are open regular hours on Thanksgiving Day, but pharmacies are closed. Both will be open on Friday.
