3rd Annual Basketball Tournament to Benefit Honor Air

Roswell High School and Roswell Rotary Honor Air are pleased to announce the 3rd Annual “Roswell High School and Roswell Rotary Honor Air Invitational” basketball tournament to be held at Roswell High School, Nov. 23, 25 and 26, 2019. Doors open at 8:30 AM, first game is 9:00 AM, last game is 8:00 PM.

Eleven teams from the southeast will be playing. Many teams are returning to participate. Representing the boys teams are Roswell High, Alpharetta, Chattahoochee, Shiloh, Sequoyah, Wando, and Grady. Girl’s teams include Roswell High, Blessed Trinity, Alpharetta, Chattahoochee, Grady, Denmark, Shiloh, and Redan. Several hundred students, coaches and players will be traveling here for the weekend to enjoy the tournament in addition to local restaurants, retailers and area attractions. Last year, over 800 fans attended.

This family event will honor our military veterans from all branches of service from World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War to raise awareness and support in the metro Atlanta community for a 2021 Honor Air Flight. Ticket sales proceeds will be donated to the Roswell Rotary Honor Air program. Honor Air flights are 100% funded through local donations. According to Roswell Rotary Past President and Honor Air Chairman Gene Beckham, “Each year this tournament brings excitement to the community. As always working with Roswell High School is a pleasure and we are thankful that Honor Air benefits from the proceeds. The Honor Air trip is very special to all the veterans that attend. For some, it is the first time to see the Washington, DC memorials. They are our war heroes and it is our pleasure to honor them.”

Ticket costs are Adults $10 per day, students $5 per day or you may purchase an all-tournament pass for $25.00. Tickets may be purchased at the door.

Games will be played in the Roswell High School J. Tom Zachary Court in the school’s “Hornet’s Nest”. The Hornet’s Nest has been ranked as one of the 20 best on campus high school gyms in the nation.
