Atlanta's Brandon Hall School Congratulates 35 Graduates

North Fulton's Brandon Hall School graduates 35 at commencement.

NORTH FULTON COUNTY, GA -- Atlanta's only boarding and day school recently graduated 35 students from their senior class. Graduates from the Brandon Hall School will be going to colleges across the nation, including Belmont and Mercer University, University of California and Syracuse University.

The commencement ceremony was held Friday, May 19 at the historic campus located on 27 acres on the Chattahoochee River. Speakers included Brandon Hall's President Dean Fusto, who commended the students for their academic achievement.

“These graduates are true leaders in our community. I am proud of the hard work and dedication required of these students. Bravo!” Fusto said. Brandon Hall's Valedictorian Margaret Anne Meagher (Margaret), also shared words of encouragement with the class of 2017.

Margaret received the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Cup for distinguished achievement by an outstanding high school senior. She will be attending the engineering honors program on scholarship at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in the fall.

Shunyang (“Parker”) Liu of Tianjin, China is the school's Salutatorian. Parker will be attending Boston College and is the recipient of the STAR Student Award, which goes to the student with the highest SAT score at Brandon Hall.

Jackson Nikolay Schukai of Marietta presented the Student Body President’s Address. His presentation was titled “Change.” This fall, Schukai will be attending the University of Arizona.
