Centennial Grad Named Atlanta United Goalkeeper
Brendan Moore, 26, joins Atlanta United after playing for three different teams in England.

ROSWELL, GA — A Centennial High School graduate has been named goalkeeper of Atlanta United FC, the team said in its announcement. Brendan Moore, 26, joins the team after playing for three different teams in England.
Moore most recently played for Rochdale AFC in League One, the third tier of the English football league system.
“Brendan is a talented young goalkeeper with a bright future, and we’re pleased to have added him to our roster,” Atlanta United Vice President and Technical Director Carlos Bocanegra said. “He’s a local product with valuable professional experience in England, and he’ll add quality to overall group of goalkeepers.”

Moore is a native of New York state, but played on Centennial High School's soccer team before graduating and signing to play with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2010.
According to Atlanta United, Moore had 10 appearances for Rochdale this season. He kept five clean sheets, including a 2-0 win over Grimsby Town in the first round of 2018-19 EFL Cup.

Before this most recent season, he played on loan with Torquay United between 2015 and 2017 to earn some playing time. He also made 58 appearances for Torquay in the National League before transferring to Rochdale in July 2017.
