Centennial High School To Host End Of Summer Celebration

The city of Roswell's event, which will include a fireworks show, will be held Sunday, Sept. 2 at the school's baseball field.

ROSWELL, GA — The city of Roswell on Sunday will bid farewell to the summer with a celebration at Centennial High School. The annual End of Summer Celebration will begin at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2 at the school's baseball field.

The 19th annual family-friendly event will feature music, carnival games, giant inflatables, face painting, balloon animals, cotton candy, ice cream, food, the annual twist (dancing) contest for kids, and fireworks.

Admission to the event is free, and food, balloon animals, carnival games, cotton candy and ice cream will be available for purchase.

Two performances are also planned: 120 East Band at 5:30 p.m. and a Twist Contest for Kids at 8:20 p.m. A fireworks show will be held at 8:45 p.m. However, the start time is sometimes earlier or later, depending on weather. Please arrive early and/or check the city's Facebook page for details.

Proceeds from Sunday's event will support student clubs at Centennial High School, which is located at 9310 Scott Road.
