ROSWELL, GA — The Cottage School’s first ever AAC Volleyball Championship team opens its 2019 season with a win. Aug. 20 marked the season opener for Lady Cougar Volleyball. Prior to game time, the 2018 AAC Cougar volleyball champions were recognized on the court for the team’s first championship, a monumental achievement for student athletes Esther Buckingham, Emily Daugherty, Alecta Feely, Natalia Hoeve, Tracy Li, Erin McNeal, Olivia Robertson, Anna Scalf, and Shakirah Wazeerud-Din.

With just four practices under their belt, the 18-person Lady Cougar team took to the court versus the Atlanta Area School for the Deaf (AASD) 7-person Panther roster. The Cougars—an intimidating presence with their readiness and court coverage—won all three games.

The Lady Cougars look forward to growing as a team and expanding on the triumphs of last season with new strengths and opportunities. The 2019 season combines both seasoned and new players, learning and growing together to continue the story and success of Lady Cougar volleyball. The Cottage School invites the public to cheer on their 2019 Lady Cougar volleyball team.
