Cultural Arts Center Announces 2018 Holiday Season Lineup

The Roswell Cultural Arts Center will offer a variety of events for audience members of all ages to celebrate the season.

ROSWELL, GA — The Roswell Cultural Arts Center has announced a special series of programs for the holiday season.

The Center will offer a variety of events for audience members of all ages to celebrate the season with a LIVE! In Roswell concert, annual Winter Puppet Series, a Roswell Youth Theatre musical, The Nutcracker, art exhibits, and a special co-production with the acclaimed Atlanta Vocal Project.

Atlanta Vocal Project presents "Welcome to the Holidays!"

Friday, Nov. 30 at 8 p.m.

Award-winning a cappella vocal ensembles Atlanta Vocal Project and Song of Atlanta share their passion for harmony and the holiday season in this special performance. Both groups will sing a variety of seasonal songs, including fun favorites and traditional sacred music. This concert kicks off the holiday season with a family-friendly spectacular performance! Atlanta Dance Theatre presents "The Nutcracker"

Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m., Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. & 7:30 p.m., and Dec. 9 at 2 p.m.

With lavish costumes, life-size dolls, stirring choreography and Tchaikovsky's timeless score, Atlanta Dance Theatre's performance of The Nutcracker will enchant the whole family. This holiday ballet tells the story of a young girl named Clara who receives a magical nutcracker doll one Christmas Eve and sets out in her dreams that night on a wondrous journey to the Land of the Snow and the Kingdom of Sweets. Roswell Youth Theatre presents "A Charlie Brown Christmas"

Dec. 14 at 7 p.m., Dec. 15 at 7 p.m., and Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. & 7 p.m.

'Tis the season to celebrate with everyone’s favorite Peanuts pals as they dig past the commercialized gimmicks of presents and decorations to rediscover the true meaning of Christmas. Roswell Winter Puppet Series

All Hands Productions presents "Santa’s Missing Mail"

Dec. 13 at 10 a.m., Dec. 14 at 10 a.m., and Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. & 1:30 p.m.

David Stephens’s All Hands Productions returns to the stage this holiday season with an encore presentation of Santa’s Missing Mail! When two evil bad guys decide to stop Christmas by stealing Santa’s mail, there’s only one superhero who can help!

Lee Bryan, “That Puppet Guy,” presents Trouble in Toyland

Dec. 20 at 10 a.m., Dec. 21 at 10 a.m. & 1:30 p.m. and Dec. 22 at 10 a.m.

Oh no! It's Christmas Eve - but the toys aren't finished, the elves are on strike, Santa has lost his laugh, and Rudolph has a runny nose! Will we have to cancel Christmas? Of course not! This show brings hilarious holiday hijinks to the stage that is fun for the whole family.

LIVE! In Roswell presents Classic Nashville Christmas

Dec. 22 at 8 p.m.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year…country music style! Jason Petty and Katie Deal bring you the greatest collection of country Christmas songs and the stories behind them. With hits like Dolly’s “Hard Candy Christmas,” bluegrass favorites, and holiday gospel traditions, this show honors artists such as Grandpa Jones, Alan Jackson, Brenda Lee, Elvis Presley, Kenny Rogers, and many more. Artist Spotlight presents Jane Hasseler: People on Canton

Exhibit on view November & December at Roswell Cultural Arts Center Lobby. Artist reception and sale from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 2.
