Free Gardening Classes Offered By City Of Roswell

This class will cover getting started with perennials as well as tips and techniques to help your perennials prosper for years to come.

ROSWELL, GA -- The UGA Cooperative Extension in Fulton County and the North Fulton Master Gardeners are conducting a series of free gardening classes, hosted by the City of Roswell. Each class emphasizes practical gardening techniques at the time of year that is best suited for that activity. Classes are offered from 7 - 8:30 p.m. on select Tuesday nights at the Bill Johnson Community Activity Building,10495 Woodstock Road .

The next class will be offered Tuesday, April 16, and will cover getting started with perennials as well as tips and techniques to help your perennials prosper for years to come. Topics include soil preparation, planting and dividing, mulching, watering, fertilizing and weed control.

The next free gardening class will be April 23, and will address traditional gardening practices and misconceptions. Topics include product claims, home remedies, use of mulch, and urban gardening.
