Sandy Springs officers were dispatched around 3 a.m. Jan. 13 in the area of 5395 Roswell Road, which is located just north of its intersection with Glenridge Drive. Cops arrived on the scene to find a red Porsche 911 overturned and off to the side of the road, Sandy Springs police spokesperson Sgt. Sam Worsham previously told Patch.
A preliminary investigation indicates the sports car left the road after "failing to negotiate a curve," Worsham added. The driver, identified as Austin, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash while the sole passenger was transported to North Fulton Hospital for treatment.
