Funeral Set For Roswell Teen Found Unconscious Near School

The 16-year-old, who was rushed to the hospital after she was found in a wooded area near Roswell High School, died late last week.

ROSWELL, GA -- Friends and family are scheduled to attend a funeral service for the teenager who died last week after she was found unconscious near Roswell High School. The service for Lucy Ella Risdon, 16, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28 at Lakeside Funeral Home.

Lucy's family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Thursday at the facility in Woodstock. Also scheduled to take place following the service is a balloon release, and everyone is invited to participate in this activity. Lucy, 16, a Roswell High School student, was hospitalized Sept. 20 after she was found unresponsive in a wooded area between a shopping center and the school. She was rushed to an area hospital by EMS crews, but died two days later.

  • Acting anxious or agitated; behaving recklessly
  • Sleeping too little or too much
  • Withdrawing or isolating themselves
  • Showing rage or talking about seeking revenge
  • Extreme mood swings

In lieu of flowers, the teen's family asks that you make donations to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
