December 17, 2016: The Beach Boys Christmas Album

Through a partnership with The ATL Collective, RCAC is hosting a special holiday performance of The Beach Boys Christmas Album. This concert takes audience members, song by song, through the Beach Boys’ 1964 chart-topping Christmas album. Show creators call it "a nostalgic and rockin’ walk down memory lane."

February 4, 2017: A Temptations Revue, featuring Grammy Winner Barrington "Bo" Henderson

This show spans more than a decade of Temptations classics and recreates the harmonies and choreographed dance steps that made the group famous. Show creators say the classic Motown hits will have the audience dancing in the aisles with hits like "My Girl," "Papa Was a Rollin' Stone," "Get Ready," "Ain't Too Proud To Beg," "Just My Imagination," and many more.

June 10, 2017: Katie Deal in “Today, Tomorrow & Forever: A Tribute to Patsy Cline”

Georgia's own Katie Deal will close out the LIVE! in Roswell season with a tribute to one of country music's most famous performers. This one-woman show features a live band, tight harmonies and the woman show creators call a "powerhouse singer." In this tribute, audience members will learn a little bit about Katie, a little bit about Patsy, and a lot about why Patsy’s music is loved by so many.

ROSWELL FAMILY SERIES:

Individual tickets are $12 for ages 2 and up; season tickets are $30. Tickets can be purchased at www.roswellcac.com or in-person at the box office. Group rates for the Roswell Family Series are available by calling 770-594-6232.

The shows featured in the Roswell Family Series are:

August 26, 2016: Big Bang Boom!

Just in time to shake off the back-to-school blues, RCAC staff say Big Bang Boom! offers a "high-impact, high-energy show that gets kids up and moving." This band consists of three dads – Chuck Folds (younger brother of Ben Folds), Steve Willard, and Eddie Walker – playing their original music that mixes alt-rock, hip-hop, punk, and country, along with an array of Big Bang Boom-ified classic tunes, including their famous grand finale, the “Great Hokey Pokey Showdown.” Shows take place at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

October 13, 2016: Goodnight Moon and The Runaway Bunny

The Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia is a renowned international touring company that combines innovative puppetry, striking scenic effects and evocative original music to provide young audiences with an introduction to the performing arts and the excitement of reading. Presenting two of the most beloved children’s books of all time by Margaret Wise Brown, Mermaid Theatre’s staged adaptation of Goodnight Moon and The Runaway Bunny will bring the stories to life. Shows take place at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

May 6, 2017: The Ugly Duckling and The Tortoise & the Hare

Internationally recognized Lightwire Theater will perform their interpretation of two classic fairy tales through poignant choreography, glow-in-the-dark puppets and visual effects. Hans Christian Andersen's The Ugly Duckling is a story that celebrates differences and transformation, while Aesop's The Tortoise and the Hare reminds audiences of the old adage, "Slow and steady wins the race." Shows take place at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The LIVE! in Roswell Series is sponsored by The Current Hub, The Mimms Company, Appen Media and Rubicon Studios, and the Roswell Family Series is also sponsored by Publix Super Markets Charities.
