Roswell Historical Society Presents 'Beyond My Stone'

This event will take place at the Old Roswell Cemetery on Saturday, September 24.

Ever wonder about the folks who lived, worked, and played in Roswell before us? Who were they and what was life like in their times? If so, then join the Roswell Historical Society as they bring some former residents back to life in the performance “Beyond My Stone” © Huddleston. This event will take place at the Old Roswell Cemetery on Saturday, September 24th beginning at 5:30 PM. Costumed performers will stand next to the monuments of Roswell notables and tell their life stories. You will be led by Narrator C. J. Perry, Uptown Roswell developer or Narrator Rebecca Jane Whitmire Farr, Roswell millworker who returned to Roswell after her deportation to the North and after the burning of the Roswell Mills. Hal Coleman will portray his great-great granddaddy, Valentine Coleman, the patriarch of the Roswell Colemans. You’ll meet a Roswell mayor, the Chevy dealer, a country-western club owner, a WW II soldier, and hear the story of a murder victim! If you joined us last year, thank you and come again! We have some new stories too as well.

Contact the Roswell Historical Society at 770-992- 1665, or the Roswell CVB at 800-776- 7935 for more information and tickets. Tickets will also be available on site that evening: $15 for adults, $10 for RHS members, $5 for children 12 and under. It’s rain or shine. Wear comfortable shoes. Parking is available at the lot at Woodstock Street and Minhinette Dr. near the water tower. Bring the whole family.
