Roswell Homeschool Day Set For Sept. 8
Prices through August 25 are $12 for adults and children; children five and under are free.

From the City of Roswell: The Roswell Convention and Visitors Bureau and “A Southern Trilogy: The Historic House Museums of Roswell” will host a Homeschool Day for homeschool students on Friday, September 8, from 10 am to 3 pm. Barrington Hall, Bulloch Hall, and Smith Plantation will be open for tours, and demonstrations and hands-on activities will be held at all three house museums so students can experience life in the 1800s. Some of these activities include a journey on the Trail of Tears, seeing a water mill model in action, experiencing the Georgia Gold Land Lottery, quilting, basket making, cooking a corn dish over the open fire and making corn husk dolls.
“Interactive history is the best way to learn,” said Diane Stone, Group & Motorcoach Sales, with the Roswell Convention and Visitors Bureau. “Parents of homeschool students are often looking for different ways to teach history as part of their required curriculum,” she said.
Prices through August 25 are $12 for adults and children; children five and under are free. After August 25 prices are $15 for adults and children; children five and under are free. Registration is required. To register and for more information, visitwww.visitroswellga.com or call 770-640-3253.
