Roswell Police Arrest Man On Rape, Aggravated Assault Charges
Roswell Police arrested a 39-year-old man Sunday after he reportedly "verbally accosted and physically assaulted" a woman walking outside.

ROSWELL, GA — Roswell Police have arrested a 39-year-old man after he reportedly "verbally accosted and physically assaulted" a woman walking along Mansell Road.
Demarcus Jenkins, 39, was arrested and charged him on rape and aggravated assault charges, police said.
Shortly before midnight on Sunday, officers were dispatched to 10750 Alpharetta Highway to meet with a third party who said that he found an injured woman who said she was recently assaulted.

Officers identified the description of a suspect, and within 15 minutes were able to locate Jenkins behind a nearby business and take him into custody. Detectives with the criminal investigation division responded to further investigate.
Investigators found that the victim had been walking down Mansell Road when she was verbally accosted and physically assaulted by Jenkins near a business. The victim and Jenkins were not known to each other. The victim had significant visible injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Jenkins has been taken to the Fulton County Jail.
