Roswell Police Arrest Suspected Armed Robber After Car Chase
Roswell Police have arrested a Fort Benning man after a short car chase following a reported armed robbery at a local McDonald's.
ROSWELL, GA – Roswell Police have arrested a Fort Benning man after a short car chase following a reported armed robbery at a local McDonald's, according to a Roswell Police report.
On May 3, Roswell police officers were flagged down by a driver around 10 a.m. who told them the McDonald's at 2950 Holcomb Bridge Road had just been robbed at gun point, according to a post on the police department's Facebook page.
According to police, a man wearing dark clothing and a medical face mask came into the restaurant and pointed a firearm at multiple employees and demanded they give him their money. Victims and witnesses described the armed robber and said he left in a red Mustang, police said.

After a brief chase, the suspect lost control of the car and crashed into a large commercial sign for the Holcomb Woods Business Park. The suspect then ran into a nearby tree line, police said.
After an extensive ground search, officers found the suspect and took him into custody.

The man was identified as Isacc Hammond, 23. He has been charged with fleeing, speeding, driving on the wrong side of the road, hit and run, reckless driving, armed robbery and possession of firearm during the commission of a felony.
An investigation is still underway.
