Roswell Safe Parking Regulations On River Roadways
Authorities are enforcing parking regulations on Chattahoochee River roadways.

From The City of Roswell: The City of Roswell will soon begin enforcing parking regulations along Willeo Road and Azalea Drive to address recent increases in illegal parking across bike lanes and within travel lanes along the Chattahoochee River. The City is in the process of installing signs reminding drivers of parking regulations, and formal enforcement is expected to begin the last week of February 2019.
The growing popularity of the Roswell Riverwalk boardwalk, in combination with the other surrounding recreational amenities, has placed a high demand on available parking along the river. During peak times, some visitors who are unable to find parking spaces in designated lots have chosen to park on the grass shoulders adjacent to the river, in bike lanes, or protruding into travel lanes. This has created an unsafe situation for cyclists and motorists using the roadway, as well as for those loading and unloading from the parked vehicles. Those found to be in violation of parking regulations may be issued a violation with a fine of $50. No enforcement action will be necessary for visitors who safely park their vehicle within shoulder areas and do not encroach onto the bike lanes and roadways. City staff are currently evaluating future options to provide additional designated parking along the river to ensure these resources can be used safely and conveniently by residents and visitors.
