Roswell Soccer Team Celebrates State-Wide Victory
Roswell Soccer Program's Santos 14U Girls Blue Team won the Georgia Soccer State Cup on Sunday, June 2.

ROSWELL, GA — Roswell Soccer Program’s Santos 14U Girls Blue Team won the Georgia Soccer State Cup on Sunday, June 2. The girls finished their 2018-19 season with 10 wins and one tie. By winning the state cup, the team will advance to the 2019 US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Championship in Baton Rouge, Louisiana this month. The team will compete against other state championship teams with the hopes of qualifying for a spot at the Nationals in July.
Their coach, Mark Lomas, commended the team’s effort.
“This team has worked so hard over the last 10 months and to go from winning National League in the fall without losing a game and to then win State Cup in the spring, is an amazing accomplishment," he said. "I'm very proud of this group and it's been a pleasure to watch them grow as soccer players and people."
