Scare Up Some Fun At Roswell’s Halloween Events

The City of Roswell would like to remind residents of the Halloween events this year that will start on Oct. 19 and run through Oct. 27.

From The City of Roswell:The City of Roswell is offering three ghoulishly fun Halloween events this month: The annual Mother/Son Halloween Dance on Oct. 19, A Night at the Museum at Bulloch Hall on Oct. 20, The Halloween Fun House on Oct. 26, and the Spooktacular Night on Oct. 27.

The City’s annual Mother/Son Halloween Dance is on Friday, October 19, at the Bill Johnson Community Activity Building at Roswell Area Park from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Guests are invited to dress in costumes and enjoy dancing, music, games, prizes, refreshments, picture opportunities, and more. Boys of all ages and their mothers, grandmothers, aunts, or other adult females in their lives are welcome. Registration is required by October 12; the fee is $12 per person for residents and $18 per person for non-residents. Register at www.roswellgov.com/register and use program #11153-01. On Saturday, October 20, you are invited to A Night at the Museum at Bulloch Hall. From 6:30 to 9:00 p.m., tour the house by candlelight and meet members of the Bulloch and Roosevelt families. Enjoy a pumpkin race, ghostly ring toss, goofy golf and other spooky games. If you are brave enough, you can visit the Haunted Graveyard. Have hotdogs, chips, a drink and roasted marshmallows by the fireplace while listening to Halloween songs and stories. Reservations are required. The Halloween Fun House event will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, October 26, at East Roswell Recreation Center, 9000 Fouts Road. This free event is open to kids ages 8 and under and will feature face painting, carnival games, inflatables, hayrides, and more. Concessions will be available for purchase. On Saturday, October 27, we invite you to spend a Spooktacular Night at Smith Plantation. From 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., experience one of Roswell’s most historic landmarks through a spooky candlelit tour of the plantation. Children are invited to wear their Halloween costumes and listen to ghost stories, trick-or-treat around the plantation, and make s’mores. The cost is $5 per person; children under 5 are free.
