Southern Sweets Pound Cake Cookoff, Marketplace
The fun event is a part of Roswell Roots: A Festival of Black History and Culture.

From The City of Roswell: The City of Roswell will host the fourth annual Southern Sweets Pound Cake Cook-Off on Saturday, Feb. 10 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Bill Johnson Community Activity Building at Roswell Area Park as part of Roswell Roots: A Festival of Black History and Culture.
Guests are invited to taste pound cake and vote for their favorite entry. Competitor categories include professional, amateur, youth, and healthy. First and second place will be awarded in each category as chosen by a panel of judges. A People’s Choice Award will also be given to the participant with the most votes from guests.

In addition to pound cake, join us for original collections of artwork from artists and makers at the Roswell Roots Marketplace next to the Pound Cake Cook-Off from10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The marketplace is a one-day event in conjunction with the Pound Cake Cook-Off that allows makers to sell and display their goods that celebrate Black history and culture.

Roswell Roots: A Festival of Black History and Culture is one of the largest and most comprehensive celebrations of black history and culture in the Southeast.
