What's Open, Closed In Roswell For July 4, 2021

As the Independence Day holiday falls on a Sunday, some services will have changes the day prior or after.

ROSWELL, GA — Fourth of July may still look slightly different this year due to the pandemic, but many events are back on after a hiatus. Because July 4 falls on a Sunday, the Independence Day holiday is observed on Monday, July 5.

Here are the openings and closings to know around the holiday:

  • City of Roswell: Municipal offices for Roswell will be closed on Monday.
  • Fulton County government offices: Fulton County courts, facilities and offices will be closed on Monday.
  • Fulton County public safety services are available 365 days per year.
  • Libraries: All Fulton County public libraries will be closed on Monday, and will reopen to the public Tuesday, July 6 for daily service.
  • Post offices: This year, July 4 falls on a Sunday, so post offices will already be closed and there will be no mail or package deliveries. For most federal employees, Monday, July 5, will be treated as a holiday for pay and leave purposes.
  • Trash and recycling pickup: Garbage pick up in Roswell will not be impacted.
  • All banks will be closed already on Sundays, but will also be closed on Monday, July 5.
