Abernathy Road, Ga. 400 Ramps To Close Oct. 6-7
Detours will be place to allow motorists to get around these closures.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — The Georgia Department of Transportation will close a segment of Abernathy Road and the Ga. 400 northbound exit ramp to this interchange this weekend in Sandy Springs, the agency said.
Abernathy Road from Mercedes-Benz Drive to Ga. 400, the Ga. 400 northbound exit to Abernathy Road/Sandy Springs (Exit 5B), Ga. 400 southbound exit to Abernathy Road towards Sandy Springs (Exit 5) and Glenridge Parkway at Abernathy Road will all close 7 a.m. to 7 pm. Saturday, Oct. 6 and Sunday, Oct. 7, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

GA-400 northbound to Abernathy Road: Motorists traveling on GA-400 northbound should use Exit 5A (Abernathy Road towards Dunwoody), turn right on to Peachtree Dunwoody Road and make another right on Mt Vernon Highway. Motorist should continue on Mount Vernon Highway and turn right on to Glenridge Drive. Once on Glernidge, motorists can then turn left on to Abernathy Road and continue on Abernathy Road. Motorists needing to access Glenlake Parkway will continue on Glenridge Drive towards Glenlake Parkway.
GA-400 southbound to Abernathy Road: Motorists traveling on Ga. 400 southbound should get off at Exit 5 (Abernathy Road towards Dunwoody) turn left on to Abernathy Road, turn right on to Peachtree Dunwoody Road and turn right on to Mt Vernon Highway. Motorists should continue on Mount Vernon Highway and turn right on to Glenridge Drive. Once there, motorists can turn left on Abernathy Road and continue on Abernathy Road. Motorists needing to access Glenlake Parkway will continue on Glenridge Drive to reach Glenlake Parkway.
