Atlanta, GA (December 2020) – The ALS Association Georgia Chapter is pleased to announce that Delia McIntyre Carter, Hillary Gardner, Kisha Morris Wesley and Patrick Willis have been named to its Board of Directors. This class of Board members each brings a unique skillset and a personal connection to ALS that will contribute to the dedicated fight against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

Delia McIntyre Carter is the owner of Culture Shift Marketing, a communications agency that works with clients to expand their awareness and reach. Recently she launched Milestone Markers, a yard greeting business created to spread joy throughout metro Atlanta. Her past and current Board experience includes service with The Arthritis Foundation, the Atlanta Association of Black Journalists and The Fairview-E.S. Brown Heritage Corporation. Ms. Carter brings her passion for helping others combined with her work with strategic planning, management, training and communications to her Board service with The ALS Association Georgia Chapter.

Hillary Gardner, Corporate Counsel with Credigy Solutions, has served on The ALS Association Georgia Chapter’s Advocacy Committee for 3 years. Ms. Gardner brings her personal experience with ALS in her family, her lobbying efforts on behalf of The ALS Association Georgia Chapter at both the State and Federal level and her passion for community engagement in organizing local food drives, book clubs, and recruiting and matching mentors/mentees with the National Association of Women Lawyers to her Board service.

Kisha Morris Wesley, a Finance and Accounting Manager with Greening Youth Foundation, comes to The ALS Association Georgia Chapter through the United Way VIP Board training. Mrs. Wesley has a family connection to ALS and participated in the inaugural Walk to D’Feet ALS in downtown Decatur. Mrs. Wesley brings her desire to serve families impacted by ALS, along with her financial expertise and knowledge from over fifteen years in the public sector to her Board service.

Patrick Willis, a Financial Planning Manager with Southern Power Company, brings a personal connection to ALS with his father having been diagnosed with ALS in 2011 along with a broad range of leadership experiences from his time in public accounting and around the Southern Company system. His skillset in financial planning and analysis, accounting and financial reporting, along with his previous experience managing audits of non-profit entities and his passion for helping others, will be invaluable as The ALS Association Georgia Chapter looks forward to future growth and development

The ALS Association Georgia Chapter is the only nationally affiliated not-for-profit health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS. The ALS Association Georgia Chapter provides an array of support through our Care Services Programs such as: one-on-one consultations, an equipment loaner program, support groups, the Sally Panfel In-Home Care & Respite Program, the Paul B. Williams Transportation Program, and support for ALS clinics in Atlanta, Augusta and Macon. The local chapter also joins with chapters across the country to support research and participate in federal advocacy initiatives.
