At Least 21 Sandy Springs Area Runners at Boston Marathon as Explosion Rocks Race
Boston Police said the blast occurred just before 3 p.m. Reports say two are dead and more than 100 injured.

Boston Police are reporting at least three people died and more than 100 were injured after two explosions occurred Monday afternoon near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.Â
Video of the incident shows the explosion knocking runners and bystanders to the ground following the blast.Â

The Boston Marathon released a statement around that said, "There were two bombs that exploded near the finish line in today's Boston Marathon. We are working with law enforcement to understand what exactly has happened."

The Associated Press is reporting at least two other explosive devices were found.Â

The White House has issued an official statement:Â
"The President has been notified of the incident in Boston. His administration is in contact with state and local authorities. He directed his administration to provide whatever assistance is necessary in the investigation and response."
