Canoe, Kayak, Paddleboard Demo Day Set For April 16

High Country Outfitters, Inc. (HCO) will host a Canoe, Kayak and Standup Paddleboard Intro and Demo Day on Saturday April 16, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Free and open to the public. Children welcome with adult supervision.

The event is designed as a short program to introduce the community to paddling as a life sport emphasizing safety, enjoyment and skill acquisition for entry level settings. HCO certified guides will have a variety of different boats available for attendees to demo and test drive during the event and will also be available to talk about a variety of topics - paddling safety, basics of paddling, differences between paddles, paddle strokes for canoeists, loading a kayak, kayak fishing, and kayak camping.
