Crews Begin Work For Northridge Road Interchange Project
The project will widen the northbound and southbound entrance ramps on S.R. 400 from one to two lanes, and install dual lane ramp meters.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — Georgia Department of Transportation contractors will begin clearing vegetation next week near the Ga. 400 interchange at Northridge Road in Sandy Springs.
Crews will begin preparing the area for the improvement project that will widen the northbound and southbound entrance ramps on S.R. 400 from one to two lanes, and install dual lane ramp meters to moderate traffic flow and help prevent collisions, GDOT said.
Weather permitting, crews will clear vegetation beginning Monday, Sept. 10 in the areas where the widened lanes will be constructed. This project is designed to ease the traffic congestion at the interchange and increase safety. As the work progresses, some lane closures will be needed to protect workers and drivers in the work zone.
