Donations for Senior Citizens Giving Tree Encouraged

Nearby Sandy Springs: The Angel Tree Giving program by the Senior Services North Fulton can help lift the spirits of senior citizens who are alone during the holidays.

The holiday season is a lonely time for many of senior citizens especially those who live alone. The Angel Tree Giving program by the Senior Services North Fulton can help lift their spirits.

Seniors submit a wish list, which students, volunteers and organizations fulfill.  Many seniors request gift cards to a local Kroger, Publix, Walmart, or Target to purchase personal items such body lotion and shampoo, or even groceries and medications. This year, Senior Services North Fulton is asking the community’s help to fill the requests for gift cards.

“I never want anyone to feel left out at the Holidays and The Angel Tree Giving  program ensures our seniors will not be,” said volunteer Katherine Hayes in an announcement, ‘Through the generosity of others this program lets our seniors know that we care and at the same time also provides necessities for them that they may not be able to get otherwise.”
