The VIPs that were at the Capitol Wednesday, March 11th saw The Truth About Drugs.

The World Drug Report stated in 2018 that 585,000 deaths worldwide were drug-related and preventable. That’s over 1600 people dying daily. Many former drug abusers point out that “No one plans to become a drug addict” but with staggering death tolls like this, it is obviously too easy to be another statistic.

With recreational drugs becoming legal in many states and tolerance levels increasing, the street market keeps up with illegal demand by producing a stronger and most of the time cheaper, high. Shatter, a product of condensing THC into a melted plastic-looking form using butane fuel is very dangerous to make and perhaps more dangerous to use for any time you condense a drug you increase the likelihood of harm and addiction.

Merriam-Webster dictionary defines poison as a substance that through its chemical action usually kills, injures, or impairs an organism. Legislators at the Capitol and society need to wake-up to what Big Pharma has been doing for over a century as Bayer Pharmaceutical produced Heroin in a lab and knowingly marketed the product as a non-addictive cure to Morphine addiction. This very profitable business model still exists with oxycodone being one of the latest drugs to line pockets with billions of dollars using fancy marketing that touted low chances of addiction, only to produce an epidemic of opioid addicts and the cause of so many deaths. This is not the American way and not capitalism, it is straight-up criminal acts against humanity and that’s The Truth.
