Fulton Schools Delaying Sports Competitions Until Mid-September
Fulton Schools Athletic Director Steven Craft announced Thursday the district will delay all fall sports competitions until Sept. 14.

FULTON COUNTY, GA — All Fulton County Schools fall sports competitions will be delayed through mid-September, county officials said Thursday.
Fulton Schools Athletic Director Steven Craft said Thursday that the district will delay all fall competitions through the week of Sept. 14 due to the coronavirus.
Softball, volleyball, cross-country, football, cheerleading and marching band will resume competitions the week of Sept. 14, Craft said.

"The district will continue to monitor the impacts of COVID-19 moving forward, and will make a determination for the remainder of the season by Sept. 14," he said. "The district will continue to place the safety of the students and staff first while remaining committed to offer a fall season for our student athletes. FCS will allow each fall team and the marching band to continue to practice and condition during this time."
