Gas Leak Repaired; Sandy Springs Intersection Reopens (UPDATED)

The city had to close Abernathy Road at Peachtree Dunwoody Road Thursday due to the leak.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — Peachtree Dunwoody Road has reopened in Sandy Springs after a gas leak forced the city to close its intersection with Abernathy Road early Thursday afternoon.

However, Sandy Springs notes Atlanta Gas will be working in the right- and left-turn pocket areas for a few more hours to make sure everything is back to normal before their crews leave the scene.

You can also find an alternate route to avoid any lingering delays that could still be in the area.
