Holy Innocents' Wins Football Season Opener
The Golden Bears next travel to Norcross to face Wesleyan on Oct. 30.

Clay Pfohl scored two touchdowns, including one a 90-yard kickoff return to open the game, as Holy Innocents’ began the 2013 season with a 28-14 win over Lakeside High School at Riverwood on Friday night.
Owen Penn added a 5-yard scoring run, while Jack Palmore tossed a 25-yard touchdown pass as the Class A Bears led for much of the game against the Class AAAAA Vikings. The Golden Bears next travel to Norcross to face Wesleyan on Oct. 30.
Elsewhere, North Springs scored a 40-7 win over Cross Keys. The Spartans won in Coach Steve Horton's first game at the school, which had been winless the previous three seasons. The Mount Vernon Presbyterian Mustangs are scheduled to open their season on Saturday versus visiting Mt. Pisgah Christian.
