How To Recycle Christmas Trees In Sandy Springs

Here are a few options Sandy Springs residents can use to recycle dry Christmas trees after the holiday.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — As we move away from the Christmas holiday, some residents may be looking to remove their Christmas trees. There are several ways to recycle your trees in Sandy Springs.

Fire officials recommend removing your tree after Christmas or when it is dry. The National Fire Protection Association says dried-out trees present a fire hazard and should not be left in homes or garages or placed against a home.

When you should remove the tree depends on when you got it, what condition it was in, and whether it was properly watered, according to the fire department.
