John E. Ryan, 74, Enjoyed Gardening, Dogs and Traveling

John E. Ryan, age 74, of Sandy Springs passed away on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, after complications from cancer.

John was born and raised in Whitestone, NY. His professional career included positions with Eastern Airlines, and he recently retired from Crawford and Co. after nearly 35 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, his many dogs, traveling, and dinner parties with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings and is survived by Jack Barry, lifelong friend and partner, Marie Ryan, sister-in-law with nieces, and Marie Isop, dear friend.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 9 from 6 to 8pm at Roswell Funeral/Green Lawn Cemetery at 950 Mansell Road. Burial will be Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 10 a.m. in Green Lawn Cemetery and Mausoleum.

In lieu of flower, donations may be made in memory of John E. Ryan to the Atlanta Humane Society.
