Kentucky Derby Fundraiser Comes To Heritage Sandy Springs May 4
Heritage Sandy Springs will host a fundraising event, Jockeys & Juleps, from 4 to 9 p.m. on May 4. Early bird tickets for $65 end March 31.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- It’s a little-known fact in Sandy Springs that on top of the Sandy Springs Society Gazebo, on the lawn of the original Spring, sits a weather vane that was donated by Joey and Frances Glenn Mayson, who were instrumental in founding Heritage Sandy Springs Museum and Park. The weather vane comes from one of the original barns at Churchill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby, the most celebrated event in horse racing and a life-changing achievement for every winning horse, owner, trainer and jockey.
Heritage Sandy Springs will host a fundraising event, Jockeys & Juleps from 4 to 9 p.m. on May 4 at the Heritage Sandy Springs Museum and Park, 6110 Blue Stone Road NE.
Featuring Derby themed cocktails: drink, eat, listen and dance to the Mike Veal Band, enter
raffles, win a hat and bow tie contest, “bet” at the “Sportsbook,” and catch the live-streaming of
the 145th Run for the Roses. Jockeys & Juleps event is an opportunity to directly support
Heritage Sandy Springs, keeping the history, education, culture and community of Sandy
Springs alive.
