Man Fatally Shot at Sandy Springs Apartments on Christmas Night

Sandy Springs Police have identified Gregory Parsons as the victim in a Wednesday night shooting at the Parc of Dunwoody Apartments.

According to Police Capt. Steve Rose, Parsons, 24, was shot in the stomach shortly after 6 p.m. He was transported to North Fulton Hospital for surgery, and died about 10 p.m.

The suspect, Demetrius Dunn, 25, from Clayton County, is in police custody and will be charged with one count of murder, Rose said.

The motive for the shooting was unknown.
