Medical Professionals Get Training on Guiding Parents Through Children's Wellness Issues

Sandy Springs medical professionals including physicians and nurses will attend a Strong4Life Provider Training Program at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta-Scottish Rite, Wednesday. 

The event is intended to improve the conversation between providers and their patients. Because parents often turn to health care providers first for guidance on children’s wellness issues, the program will focus on communication skills when talking with patients and families about BMI, nutrition and physical activity, an announcement said.
